Our CAIE Secondary students participated in Times NIE “Fundamental Quiz 2022-23” – an inter-school quiz competition on 29th Sep 2022.
Our team, represented by Neev Ramani (Grade 10), Shrishti Mehra (Grade 9) and Adrit Das (Grade 8), played brilliantly and won the First Position in the Quiz. among 1,200 children and 100 schools participating in the competition.

Erica, a class 3 student at HFSI started writing at the age of five and regularly contributed her short stories towards the Primary E-Newsletter.She has done her school and parents proud with her very first publication- Honeybell - the curious hedgehog . Congratulations Erica! We are proud of you.
Students of HFS International School Powai, Dhruv Shah and Vibhum Sadhale from Grade 8 have received accolades for their performance in the state level table tennis tournament conducted by Maharashtra State Sports Association(MSSA).
Dhruv Shah, secured the first position in MSSA (table tennis) for boys under-14 on 12th of february 2022. The MSSA organisers proudly felicitated the dedication, hard work and fantastic game by Dhruv, at the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board (MLWB), Mumbai venue. Dhruv is equally proud of his win, and is already focusing on further practice. He happily and frankly shared, “my competitors were pretty easy during the first three rounds, but later on gave some fierce competition. They were all good players.” “For this tournament, my preparation was to play my game and not to get nervous even if I am losing or not able to play properly. I had to stay calm and cool and use my brain.” He loves this sport because it gives him joy to compete and meet other fellow participants. This game helps him build hand-eye coordination and is a gamechanger when using your brain while making strategies on how to tackle your opponent. Dhruv loves the balance of mental strategy and physical agility to win the game.
Vibhum Sadhale was also a proud semi-finalist in the tournament and felicitated by the MSSA organisers at the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board (MLWB), Mumbai venue. Vibhum also shared that although the opponents in the first 3 rounds were easy to play against, the quarter and semi finalists were very good and were tough to play against. He said, “ I had to work on all the different aspects of my game and practice regularly and be consistent on the table.”
The school congratulates both the learners for their hard work and passion for the sport, as they have achieved this position with equal attention and focus on academics. That truly is a measure of discipline of a sportsman.
