Interact Club-installation ceremony

Installation ceremony of Interact Club-HFSI

“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.” - Oscar Wilde

On the memorable day of 31st October, the appointed students of Grade VIII and IX had their Installation Ceremony as the Interact Club of HFSI was officially recognised, whereby the office of the president-elect and other office bearers were installed. The Interact Club comes from the words ‘international’ and ‘action’. It is a virtuous chance for the youth to work together in a world fellowship dedicated to service and international understanding. This year, the Installation Ceremony for the office-bearers was received by the students of HFSI with great enthusiasm as they gave speeches and presentations on this momentous occasion, under the guidance of their exceptional supervisor, Ms. Yogita Agni.

Tanisha Singhal, the appointed Secretary, began the event by expressing deep gratitude and welcoming all the dignitaries in attendance.

As the ceremony progressed, a tremendously inventive song by the legendary Michael Jackson called Man in the Mirror was played to send a clear message about the hopes and aspirations of the Interact Club. The theme of this song was clear: If you want the world to be different, if you want it to be a better place, the change needs to start with you—the person you see in the mirror.

Nishka Vaghela, the newly installed President, rendered her acceptance speech and waxed eloquent on the pressing need to strive for a change as she brought smiles to the faces of the guests present there. The oath was administered and all the office-bearers asserted their pledge, taking turns to confidently and eloquently express how they aspired to do something substantial to bring about a positive change in the world.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Arun Garg, a revered dentist and former President of the Rotary Club, Ms. Latha Vanamali, the esteemed President of Rotary Club of Bombay, Powai, the exemplary Principal, Mrs. Kalyani Patnaik, and other Rotarians and guests with their pearls of wisdom and experiences to share. The principal’s message to the students and newly elected office bearers was undeniably insightful as she urged the members to approach their offices, not merely to further their careers but to open avenues at a personal and global level to foster international understanding and goodwill.

It was an event that regaled, with inspirational songs, tranquilizing prayers, moving speeches, and gratifying promises for a better tomorrow which were truly music to everyone’s ears. In the words of Barack Obama- “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”.

Nishka Vaghela, President - Interact Club, HFSI
